Work and Fun

The weekend was a combo of work and fun.  On Saturday we first stopped by the wood shop Maderas Plus to clarify several items on the cutting plan. Then it was back to our “normal breakfast place” near the THP office.  After refueling, we found an ATM that will work with our debit card and not charge 20% in bank fees, then to the fastener store to try to get some springs for a part of the stove (which they didn’t have), then a quick stop at a hardware store for a few items.

I went for a run (I didn’t get too lost) and found my way back to the AirBnB just fine.  We spent the rest of the day improving the construction manual.

Saturday night Party!  Fausto (the guy whose warehouse we are using) had BIG company party for independence day (a week early).  When we met Fausto at his warehouse he invited us several times to come so we knew we must show up.  We got there about 8 and the most amazing mariachi band was playing. it was 10 guys who were amazing musicians.  They played and sang for well over 2 hours without a break!

Around 8:30 a full spread of food showed up to add to the party.  They did a formal presentation of the flag and everyone sang the national anthem.  We left about 11pm as we were having a hard time keeping our eyes open.

Sunday was again some work.  We started the day by going the street market under our first AirBnB for breakfast ($120P for the both of us About $7USD).

Then back to our place and we worked until about 3:30 and then back to the market for a late lunch- early dinner (the red color is due to the red tarps).   We then worked until about 9:30 or so. On the upside, it was a no stress day.
