Job Description
Water for Humans is seeking help and expertise in upgrading and managing our SalesForce data base. This volunteer position is designed to be fulfilled via telecommuting (working from your home). We are looking for support to help us keep our database current with SalesForce upgrades and develop a few custom objects.
Water for Humans staff are not co-located (we all work out of our homes). Thus, the candidate must be able to work independently and be very comfortable working remotely via phone and the internet. Furthermore, we are most interested in candidates who would like to join us as a partner in this venture and make a long-term commitment to our mission in Latin America and beyond.

Requirements
The Salesforce Developer/ Administrator will be responsible for a variety of tasks, which may include: Updating installed packages to the nonprofit starter pack. This opportunity is a “tele commmute” opportunity. IE you can be located anywhere in the world 🙂
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Updating installed packages to the nonprofit starter pack
- Serve as primary Salesforce.com administrator and maintain the integrity of the system.
- Evaluate new tools as they become available on the Force.com platform.
- Serve as a knowledge resource for Salesforce capabilities and best practices and working closely with business partners to realize the full capabilities of Salesforce CRM
- Define the Salesforce.com configuration required to support functional and non-functional requirements and business processes.
- Prepare and configure working functional prototypes as needed.
- Train other users in Salesforce development best practices.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience with nonprofit database implementations and experience working with nonprofit organizations that use Salesforce for donor management and other applications is highly desired
- Excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills.
- participate on ad-hoc conference calls and face to face meetings
