How we protect your information
We do not process credit card transactions ourselves to improve data
security. We utilize secure socket layer encryption (SSL) so the
connection from your browser to our website is secure. Our
administrators utilize two-factor login security. Our authentication
keys are updated regularly. We use a strong firewall and monitor for
possible intrusions. We routinely update our software to the latest
versions available to us. Note that email messages are not encrypted
so special arrangements should be made to transmit sensitive information.
Sharing your personal information
We do not sell, trade, or rent Users personal identification information to
others. We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked
to any personal identification information regarding visitors and users with
our business partners and trusted affiliates for the purposes outlined
above. We may use third party service providers to help us operate our
business and the Site or administer activities on our behalf, such as
sending out newsletters or surveys. We may share your information with these
third parties for those limited purposes provided that you have given us
your permission.
Third party websites
Users may find advertising or other content on our Site that link to the
sites and services of our partners, suppliers, advertisers, sponsors,
licensors and other third parties. We do not control the content or links
that appear on these sites and are not responsible for the practices
employed by websites linked to or from our Site. In addition, these sites or
services, including their content and links, may be constantly changing.
These sites and services may have their own privacy policies and customer
service policies. Browsing and interaction on any other website, including
websites which have a link to our Site, is subject to that website’s own
terms and policies.
Facebook, Twitter and other social networks
These services provide social buttons and similar features which we use on
our website – such as the “Like” and “Tweet” buttons. To do so we embed code
that they provide and we do not control ourselves. To function their buttons
generally know if you’re logged in; for example Facebook use this to say “x
of your friends like this”. We do not have any access to that information,
nor can we control how those networks use it. Social networks therefore
could know that you’re viewing this website, if you use their services (that
isn’t to say they do, but their policies may change).
Web browser cookies
A “cookie” is a file that a website sends to a visitor’s computer or other
Internet-connected device to identify the browser or to store information or
settings in the browser to track information about the user.
Water For Humans may employ “cookies” in association with this
website. User may choose to set their web browser to refuse cookies,
or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If they do so, note that some
parts of the Site may not function properly.
Web browser beacons
A “web beacon,” also known as an Internet tag, pixel tag or clear GIF, links
web pages to web servers and their cookies and may be used to transmit
information collected through cookies back to a web server. Water For
Humans may employ “web beacons” in association with this website to better
target our marketing efforts.
What we do with information from cookies and beacons
The information collected using these tools may include your IP address,
browser characteristics, operating system, the address of the web page that
referred you to our Website, dates and times of Website visits, the language
your system uses, and the country and time zone in which your device is
located. These automated technologies also permit the collection of
“clickstream data,” which may include a log of content you access while
browsing a website. Companies acting on our behalf may combine the
information collected from your visit to our Website with other information
they have collected previously. Your web browser may tell you how to be
notified when you receive certain types of cookies and how to restrict,
reject or disable certain cookies. The accumulated information from cookies
helps Water For Humans to measure how often Users visit our site, what pages
are viewed most frequently, and how often Users revisit the site. In
addition, the beacons help us identify groups of Users that are most
interested in our type of work and help us market our services to such
Users.
Interest-Based Online Advertising and Google Analytics
Advertising features include:
- Re-marketing with Google Analytics
- Google Display Network Impression Reporting
- Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting
- Integrated services that require Google Analytics to collect data for
advertising purposes, including the collection of data via advertising
cookies and identifiers
This section of our Privacy Notice provides details about interest-based
online advertising (also called “targeted advertising”, “remarketing”, or
“behavioral advertising”), Google Analytics, and your choices with respect
to this type of advertising. We use Google Analytics’ 3rd-party audience
data such as age, gender and interests to better understanding the behavior
of our customers and work with companies that collect information about your
online activities to provide advertising targeted to suit your interests and
preferences. For example, you may see certain ads on this website or other
websites because we contract with Google and other similar companies to
target our ads based on information we or they have collected, including
information that was collected through automated means (such as cookies and
web beacons). These companies also use automated technologies to collect
information when you click on our ads, which helps track and manage the
effectiveness of our marketing efforts. You may opt out of the automated
collection of information by third-party ad networks for the purpose of
delivering advertisements tailored to your interests, by visiting the
consumer opt-out page for the Self-Regulatory Principles for Online
Behavioral Advertising at http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ and edit or
opt-out your Google Display Network ads’ preferences at
http://www.google.com/ads/preferences/. Because those opt-out and preference
control pages are specific to the individual browser used to visit it, and
because that page is not operated by Water For Humans, we are unable to
perform the opt-outs on your behalf.
Online payment
We use a variety of payment providers to bill for our products online. These
companies will have access to your personal and payment information. When
paying by credit card, Water For Humans does not ever have any access to
your credit card details. The third party we use for donations is Click & Pledge. They process
both recurring and single payments We share information with payment
provider companies only to the extent necessary for the purposes of
processing payments you make via our website.
Changes to this privacy policy
Water For Humans has the discretion to update this privacy policy at any
time. When we do, we will revise the updated date at the bottom of this
page. We encourage Users to frequently check this page for any changes to
stay informed about how we are helping to protect the personal information
we collect. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to
review this privacy policy periodically and become aware of modifications.
EU user consent policy
The information provided in this policy clearly discloses our policy
regarding data collection, sharing and usage of browser data.
Preventive methods to avoid cookies or beacons do exist, but are not
provided in this site. An EU user, or any user, may employ a browser
that will disallow cookies or beacons. In addition, very
effective and user friendly commercial software is available (for free) such
as Ghostery or Avira that can block such tracking for this site as well as
most similar sites on the Internet.

By using this Site, you signify your acceptance of this policy. If you do
not agree to this policy, please do not use our Site. Your continued use of
the Site following the posting of changes to this policy will be deemed your
acceptance of those changes.
