DESCRIPTION

Water for Humans is getting ready to launch a new clean cook stove program and we are seeking a Marketing and Communications Volunteer who can help us develop and execute a campaign to acquire [CZ(LI1] new sustaining donors leveraging this program. This person should have a good understanding of how to effectively market an organization in the digital world, including how to refine the organization’s brand and develop content via the website and social media for maximum impact and engagement. Experience with storytelling for nonprofits a plus. Potential assignments may include creating fundraising videos, Creating Youtube and Google + page layouts, writing digital mailings, social media posting, and advising on website content.

This position will report to the co-founders other staff members. Water for Humans staff are not co-located (we all work out of our homes). Thus, the candidate must be able to work independently and be very comfortable working remotely via phone and the internet. Furthermore, we are most interested in candidates who would like to join us as a partner in this venture and make a long-term commitment to our mission in Latin America and beyond. This position is a great opportunity for someone looking to fill out his/her professional portfolio and gain important references. As a small organization, we are also excited to hear your suggestions and provide a springboard for skills you are looking to develop.

Required Skills:  Digital Media Specialist. Advanced communication and documentation skills to communicate with other technical / non-technical staff across continents.
