Almost done

We are still in Chiapas, but finishing up the workshop. We wanted to go back to Mexico City on Friday, but the tickets were twice to three times the price so we are flying on Saturday night. The bummer is that we need to get a hotel (more expensive than a airbnb) because our plane arrives at 10pm.

When we booked our flight back to Seattle we put 4 extra days in the schedule and we needed it.

I also finally finished up at the wood shop. They do some creative work.

The guys

The bummer is nothing is cut to the exact size, so there is a lot of customization needed (read takes a long time). Stan is overseeing the 4th & 5th stove casting, and with the extra days we will hold a workshop review and have the promoters help update the construction manual.

Like usual nothing goes like you want it to. Because Stan and Margarita decided to make another stove, I didn’t get any promoter help to complete the mold boxes. Yesterday (Friday) was going to be our last day in the community, but when we left at 7:30 pm, the shipping boxes were still not packed.

Thus it is Saturday, and we have to go back up to Aldama before going to the airport. It will be a busy rushing day. Our flight is at 8:30, but we have to catch a 5:45 bus to the airport. It is almost a 3 hour round trip from town to Aldama, so our work day will be short.

I hope we can get everything together and all the loose ends tied up.

And to top it all off I have a really bad sinus infection. The antibiotics are helping but it is not going away quickly  The airplane ride will be no fun on my ears.
